Before going out last Saturday, Allison brought Seungah and I to join her friends for dinner at Rigoletto Pasquale on Arthur Avenue in the Bronx, the “real Little Italy” of New York. (Side note: Apparently, Asian girls “documenting” their food with conspicuously large cameras are a rarity in this environment. I definitely got a lot of quizzical looks from the waiter and our fellow diners!)

Because I was so stuffed from Grimaldi’s pizza earlier that day, I had the lightest option possible off the very pasta-heavy menu (minestrone soup) and sampled Seungah’s spaghetti carbonara, which was fantastic: freshly homemade, hand-pulled pasta and creamy, bacon-y sauce.
