Thanks to Allison, Seungah and I got to have a REAL neighborhood diner experience at George’s, where the plates are REALLY hot, prices are low, and the decor includes an old Quiznos sign (apparently purchased when a nearby store of the chain closed), and everyone seems to be familiar with the waitresses and vice versa, like “in the movies.”

Julia Child said that “dining with one’s friends and beloved family is certainly one of life’s primal and most innocent delights, one that is both soul-satisfying and eternal.” Getting to dine in my friend’s hometown diner was certainly a delightful peek into her world 🙂
