Nikita and her friend Kate came up to D.C. from Philly last Thursday, so we went out for a late, late dinner at the cute little cafe area (Afterwords!) in the back of Kramerbooks. We were feeling more like tapas than real dinner, so we ordered completely off the appetizer menu — instantly regretted it the minute we had the baked macaroni and cheese. We each wished we had our own, but at that point it was too late to reverse the order. Tired out by the preceding weeks and more than ready for the upcoming spring break, we all just wanted to enjoy the hearty, savory comfort of mac n’ cheese before passing out in bed a mere two hours later.
