It costs a dollar to substitute grits for fresh fruit, but we thought it was well worth it to have something fresh for breakfast! And, in truth, I can’t say I share the Southern passion for grits…
Aside: Buckhead Bread Company‘s “Italian toast” (the thin, crimped toasted bread in the background) was AMAZING. As if someone took the concept of a panini, stripped it of the sandwich filling, and sliced the bread even thinner to get an even more crisp texture. Brilliant idea.
