Jeff’s one request during his visit to D.C. was that we try out Pitango Gelato , so we went for dessert after the obligatory stop at Eastern Market’s Market Lunch for their crab cake sandwich (omgahhh how I LOVE their crab and fried green tomatoes!) and a bit of wandering around the farmers market area.
Some of my favorite Pitango flavors I sampled were the cardamom and almond. We ended up getting the Bosc pear sorbet and hazelnut chocolate gelato (as per my fruit + creamy/chocolate combination rule) – both were excellent. Good find!
